As a photographer, it is always a joy to be able to capture the special moments in people’s lives and turn them into timeless works of art. That is especially true when it comes to surprise proposals, where the emotion and love on display are truly one-of-a-kind.

Josh and Emma’s surprise proposal was full of anticipation and fun. They are both from Minnesota and were visiting family in Colorado. Lookout Mountain in Golden, CO was a perfect location for me to hide away and capture their proposal.

As they reached the top of the mountain and took in the breathtaking views, Josh got down on one knee and pulled out a ring box. With the sun setting behind them and the mountains stretching out as far as the eye could see, it was a truly magical moment.

As Emma’s eyes filled with tears of joy, Josh told her how much she meant to him and how he couldn’t imagine spending the rest of his life with anyone else. It was a moment that words could never do justice and one that I am so grateful to have been able to capture through my lens.
